About our AMERICAN HARDWOOD:

It is one of the most valuable raw materials supplied by nature. The unique characteristics of solid wood offers the beauty of the works of nature. Each tree has its own personality and grain pattern inspired by the elements of nature and its environment. The cells of wood are mostly long and narrow, like small tubes or pipes, and extend up and down the tree. Through the sapwood, the sap is carried from its roots to feed the leaves. After the wood has been cut, it must be dried, or seasoned. A living tree contains a great deal of water, thus when wood dries it loses this water, causing it to shrink considerably. It takes careful handling to properly dry lumber. Solid hardwoods will expand and contract with the changes in temperature and humidity, therefore, it is important to keep the humidity in the 35 to 45 percent range to avoid cracking or warping, which is a natural character of solid wood. Furniture made with solid hardwoods can add a rich, warm and charming touch to your home, and when properly cared for, will create a legacy for future generations.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT Thank you for choosing handcrafted hardwood furniture. Wood is one of our most valuable raw materials supplied by nature, and trees are one of the most important natural resources produced in our environment. By conserving our forests with integrity, we can be assured that a bounty of renewable forests will be maintained for future generations. Through sustainable forest practices today, timber regeneration in our forests will significantly outpace timber harvest tomorrow. And just as careful management is required to ensure that our trees are replenished, many of our most precious resources— air and water quality, plant life, fish and aquatic life, birds, and wildlife habitats—in turn depend on these lush, healthy forests. Proper forest management is also essential to prevent natural disasters, such as uncontrolled forest fires. Likewise, beetles and disease can be deadly to overstocked areas, thus irreparably damaging the environment. Wood is truly a renewable resource, that with proper stewardship, can help maintain clean waterways, bountiful wildlife, better air quality and scenic beauty—all of which we can be proud. Our furniture is built with a sense of respect and responsibility to our environment. Furthermore, we manufacture our commitment to quality into all of our products with the sincere desire that every piece we manufacture becomes a treasured heirloom. And when blending our environmental responsibility with our commitment to quality, we believe we have crafted a legacy that can be passed to many generations. In fulfilling our commitment to environmentally safe furniture craftsmanship, we have chosen only finish products that are carefully designed to maintain our high standards of stewardship. The rich, warm heirloom quality of our furniture is enhanced by the color fastness of the Stains and durability of the finish. These products represent the best available technology and are second to none in health and safety. They are compliant with all government regulations pertaining to HAPS (Hazardous Air Pollutants) and VOCS (Volatile Organic Compounds). You can truly enjoy our furniture knowing every aspect of its production is respectful to the environment.
